Sonar: a musical concept established in 1992.
If you are familiar with the underground scene you should know one of the longest-standing electronic music festivals in Spain. Otherwise we could just mention the rave parties that used to be organized after the closing sets during Sonar de noche, where thousands of people partied illegally by the doors: incredible! It was celebrated at the CCCB and MACBA Barcelona’s downtown locations until 2012. The festival was then moved to Montjuic area and L’Hospitalet, where it’s now held.
Barcelona’s best-known electronic and advance music festival.
TOP Sonar 2016 Cooltourspain master selection
It will be so difficult to adjust our top list with that many artists on the roster and eventhough our opinnion might be biased, here is our “not to miss” artists list for the 2016 Barcelona‘s edition. If you want to add any names to our selection, please feel free to drop a message and we will carefully review it.
The Black Madonna
The question about this girl should be, “How did you achieve that much of success this 2016?” Way to go! Hard work is what I’m thinking about when her name comes to my mind. Watch out, she gets to Barcelona!
DVS1 & Rødhåd
Zak Khutoretsky & Rødhåd will display the closing set of SonarLab on Friday night, and we are thinking “where the heck are we going later in Barcelona?” Where is the after party?
Monsieur Garnier is probably at the last few years of his career as a Dj, thus we are not missing any second of the 6 hours Dj set he will perform at Sonar for the exclusive 1,000 people tent.
2016 edition full artists and live bands line up: big up!
Only if you think that these 3 artists we have chosen for you aren’t enough to listen in Barcelona as to get an insight of how this year’s edition will be like, you may find here an image that gives you a full list of artists performing at this massive festival. The other option would be checking Viña Rock, a rock music festival in Albacete’s great plains.
